Communication Tips
Our ParentSquare app and email system is the most effective way to provide and receive information. Please make sure you download the app to your phone and verify that you are receiving the emails. This system provides you with the direct information that the district and school are sharing as soon as it is posted. If you are NOT getting ParentSquare messages, contact Martha by calling the office or emailing her at mmacewen@winchendonk12.org.
Information is posted on the school website: https://www.winchendonk12.org/o/mes
You can also email teachers via ParentSquare or via their district email address. MOST employee email addresses follow this pattern: first initial of their first name and their last name followed by @winchendonk12.org
The district maintains a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WinchSchDistrict
Currently, Memorial does not maintain a Facebook page. If you have a question or concern regarding something about school, please contact us via the systems listed above. Although Facebook or other social media platforms are an active source of information, it is NOT always the best source for accurate information. It is always BEST to go to the direct source which is the school directly. PLEASE REACH OUT TO THE SCHOOL FOR THE INFORMATION YOU SEEK.

MMS School Council
The MMS School Council is a representative, school-building-based committee composed of the Principal, parents, teachers, and community members. School Councils expand the participation of the school community in its schools' decision-making. The involvement of different groups on the council -- teachers, parents, and non-parent community members -- provides the school with different and mutually complementary perspectives on its improvement goals, policies and plans. All interested parents should submit their name to the Principal prior to the Open House on September 15th. A vote will be held the evening of Open House and candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to serve on the council.
The purpose of the school council is to meet with the principal, assist in the identification of the educational needs of the students attending the school, assist in the review of the annual school budget, and in the formulation of a school improvement plan.
