A Message from the Principal
The Flash...
...is able to control and slow molecular vibrations to travel at superhuman speed. This was our superhero power this week. Who felt it? I saw you running around, getting the kids to school, picking them up to take them to their activities, I even spoke to many of you while you were in the middle of all the craziness of your week. The moment you showed up somewhere and sat down, you were probably zipping through the multiverse and already accomplishing your next task. A superhero power indeed. I hope you are able to channel that superhero power and “flash” your way into the weekend to slow down. Enjoy your long weekend and thank you for all you do to make Everettopolis the most amazing community.

Picture Retake Day
Picture Retake/Make Up Day is Thursday, October 13th. This is a final chance to take a school portrait and appear in this year’s yearbook/composite.
If your child plans to attend retake day please email your child’s teacher before October 13th to let them know as students may forget.
For families whose child took their photo in September, they are available to view and order.
Even if not ordering school pictures everyone must select their School Portrait that will appear in the Yearbook and Class Composites. Please select which School Portrait you would like to appear.
To view and select your photo, look for an email sent to you by “Visual Image Photography”, or go to vipis.com to search for your gallery. (A student ID number may be required.) If you have any questions or cannot find your images, please contact VIP at support@vipis.com.
If you attend retake day be sure to return to the same gallery about a week after retakes to view your new photos and reselect your yearbook image.
All yearbook image selections must be made within two weeks after Retake Day or VIP will choose one for you.
If you cannot find your images or have any questions, please contact VIP at support@vipis.com with your student information.

The Great Full Market
School Districts 65, 67, and 115 will co-host the second annual Great Full Market with Beacon Place and Quest Food Management Services on Sunday, October 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Great Full Market is a free farmers market and family festival for residents of Waukegan. The event will take place on the grounds of Beacon Place located at 603 S. McAlister Ave. in Waukegan.
The Great Full Market, hosted this year on World Food Day, provides members of the Waukegan community the opportunity to pick up fresh produce, dry goods such as beans and rice, and other pantry items, all at no cost. Families can also enjoy hot chocolate, churros, and activities including soccer, Lotería, face painting, and crafts led by Lake Forest and Lake Bluff students.
Volunteer for the Great Full Market
The Great FULL Market on Sunday, October 16 provides a farmer's market setting where families can select their own foods that align to their needs and preferences. We are looking for adult volunteers to set up and assist families during the market, and students who are excited about playing soccer, handing out hot chocolate, assisting with the market activities, and facilitating Loteria with kids while their parents shop. We expect there to be about 200 families present with about 500 individuals being served on that day.
Please review the available slots on this form, and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!

We feel immensely grateful to all of our guests and raffle participants, to all of our partners, sponsors, food providers, florists and interior designers who made the day a success, to the musicians who set the cheerful mood, to every volunteer (there were more than 80!) for generously sharing their time and talent, to our district administration that supported, greeted, and shuttled throughout the day, to our Spirit of 67 Board for their diligent work in attending to every detail, to Courtney Turner, her Special Events team and Home Tour Committee who worked all summer long to make it all possible and especially to our generous homeowners for graciously welcoming us to their homes to help us raise funds for our students!
The amount of funds raised is still under review, but all funds raised by the Spirit of 67 are re-invested in our students’ via curriculum-aligned grants that enhance their overall experience in District 67!
In fact, one grant will be enjoyed next week when beloved New York Times bestselling author, Aaron Reynolds visits Cherokee (Monday), Everett (Tuesday) and Sheridan (Wednesday).
