Final Festivities

Well, another school year has come and gone. Before we end the year, we have a few final items to check off of our "to do" list.

Community Club!

Our students did a fantastic job on their TED Ed Talks. Each group presented different topics including cultural appropriation, mental health in teens, sexual consent, and the war on drugs. The videos were thoughtful and well organized. Much of the process was left entirely up to students and the final products were really well done. Students should be very proud of themselves! Please be sure to forward videos to me so that they can be sent to TED Ed. Please also complete the survey here.

Emerson Art Show!

Please join us Tuesday night (May 17th) at 6:30pm for our annual Art Show. View original work by Emerson art students. We hope to see you there!

Emerson On The Town!

On Friday, May 20th, students will be embarking on their final educational field trip. EoT is a chance for students to be enriched while extending their learning beyond the classroom. Previous outings have included The Pentagon 9/11 Memorial, NPR Headquarters, Senate Judiciary Hearings, the Museum of Natural History, and much more! Please make sure your student arrives on time.

Emerson Cookout!

On Monday, May 23rd, students and faculty (maybe a few families) will gather for our end of the year cookout. Please feel free to bring your favorite side dishes, salads, party supplies, desserts and beverages. Keep in mind we will not have means to heat up the food. Volunteers may be needed for clean-up. Thank you to all families who are helping to organize this event!
