Birthday parties are not a part of the ELC school curriculum. However, we recognize that birthdays are important milestones in children's lives and may be acknowledged by the classroom teacher through a special token such as a sticker, pencil, etc.

To protect the health and well-being of all students, birthday treats and other food items are not permitted in the classroom or during lunch. Birthday party invitations, balloons, flowers, or gifts may not be sent to the school for delivery to children during the school day. Interruptions, even nice ones, are disruptive to the teaching and learning process. Thank you in advance for supporting our efforts to protect the teaching and learning time and the health of students.

Dropping Items off at the ELC

We have added a ‘drop off bookshelf’ to the foyer area of the main entrance at the ELC. Here, you can leave water bottles, snacks, or other items that you need to get to your child. Please be sure items are properly labeled. There will be pens and paper available should you forget!

We will also be adding a secure drop box for any checks that need to be submitted to the office.

If you have a specific COVID question, please seek guidance from the established NAPLS COVID Help Desk by calling 614-413-7111 or by emailing If you have any questions related to your child being symptomatic, please contact your Primary Care Provider.
