Internet Hoax is when you trick or devieve someone. Basically, by pranking them to do something or just playing a trick on them.
Dub the Dew
In this hoax, Mountain Dew was launching a new green apple flavor, and they wanted the Internet to suggest and vote on a name. However, no one took it seriously. The top suggestions was like "gushing granny", "sierra mist" , and "diabettus". When "Hitler did nothing wrong" topped the votes , they shut down the Mountain Dew website.
iOs 7 Does NOT make iPhone Waterproof !
A spoof ad circulated through Twitter and other social networks , that iOs 7 made iPhones waterproof. That is not true. So the ad claimed the sensors on the iPhone were able to detect being submerged in water. But it's not true do not drop your expensive phone into water.
Obama Closed Amber Alert Rumor
Has President Obama closed the Amber Alert program during the government shutdown? No, it's just a misunderstanding. However, media, and other people have spread it and society has got the urge to believe it. In fact it is likely that the rumours first came to life because the US Office of Justice Programs (OJP) website (which houses information about the Amber Alerts).
