Happy New Year!
We had a great time on Friday with our 4th grade buddies who came eager to work your children and volunteered to help take them to lunch. We love having them come to our class. The children love having someone reading with them and we love having the opportunity for the students to work on their social skills.
Please look at the photos from our Box Top Party. We got to celebrate the success of a team effort with Popsicles and popcorn.
Our Amazing 4th Grade Buddies
January in the Classroom
Fitting in with our recent change in the season, we are learning about the clothes we wear when it is winter. The students will use their visual skills to match pictures of winter clothes, use their senses to feel the texture of clothes, and use their number sense to count items. We are also going to ask the students to practice opening and closing fasteners on clothes.
We will continue to work on our number and shape identification, counting, matching letters and lots of cutting and glueing.
Time to sit and share with a friend.
That was cold!
Popsicles can be a bit of a shock but he really enjoyed them when they had warmed up a little.
Step away from the Popsicle
I think he thought Miss Anjanetta was going to take it away from him.
Not too sure
It took a moment but then she got the idea and had a good time.
Oh, okay then!
It took some prompting but he decided to give them a try and it wasn't that bad!
