News for the week of January 11th
Parent Craft Night
Traveling Backpacks will be sent home starting this week Tuesday, February 12th. Thank you to those of you who responded if you would like to receive them or not. If your child receives a book bag on January 12th it is due back by the next Monday, January 18th. That way we are able to check the book bag in and get it out to another family by Tuesday each week. We have 10 book bags per class (am and pm). Not every student will get to take home a bag each week. However, we will keep track and make sure that every student will be getting equal turns taking the different bags home. Some of the bags are a little heavy so if you would like to arrange to pick it up on Tuesday or have me drop it off somewhere please let me know!
I hope you enjoy the traveling book bags. The “book bags” are designed to be fun and informative ways for families to share literacy and learning experiences at home! Please remind your child that these backpacks are to be played with an adult. There are many pieces in each backpack and it could get frustrating with misplaced items if your child is not using the activities with adult supervision.
* Due to cold temperatures we will switch our Monday recess day to Friday this week. So students need to come to school dressed in snow gear this week on Friday, January 15th. Thanks for being so flexible!
*January Scholastic Book Order are due this Tuesday, February 12th. If you wish to place an order use the code GP4G8 on https://clubs2.scholastic.com or send in the paper copy.
*Our Valentine Exchange party will be coming up next month on Friday, February 12th. I will be sending home reminders this week about if you signed up to be a helper or send something in. If you signed up to be a helper, please confirm with me by e-mail if you are still able to help out.
