Main Office
If someone in your household is symptomatic or being tested, your student(s) CANNOT be in school.
Daily symptom checker – Early each morning, families will receive a survey via email (and also text message for those who opt for this) with a few short questions. This survey must be completed for EACH child BEFORE they arrive at school for the day. Please have the checker completed by 7:30 am. If the checker is not filled out by 8:00 am you will receive a call from the office.
School begins at 8:20 a.m. The doors will be locked and all students arriving after this time will be sent to the main office for a late pass before heading to their classrooms.
Mrs. Rosenberger RN, School Nurse
Reminders from the Nurse:
If your child will be absent from school, please contact the absentee line (856)589-2628 option 2 and leave a detailed message with the student's name, grade, and reason for absence. Often, you will be receiving a return call from the Nurse for clarification or for further information. It is imperative that you review the "Go Home Stay Home Guide" and follow the protocols put in place to keep our students and staff healthy- and our schools open. If you are calling your child out with cold symptoms please give details about what you are seeing in your child, and contact his/ her pediatrician for guidance. Children with 2 or more symptoms (ex. congestion, headache) will be excluded from school (along with siblings) until a negative COVID test is supplied to the school.
Review seasonal allergy chart below.
Seasonal Allergies
COVID-19 is a contagious respiratory illness caused by infection with a new coronavirus (called SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19). Seasonal allergies triggered by airborne pollen can lead to seasonal allergic rhinitis, which affects the nose and sinuses, and seasonal allergic conjunctivitis, which affects the eyes.
COVID-19 and seasonal allergies share many symptoms, but there are some key differences between the two. For example, COVID-19 can cause fever, which is not a common symptom of seasonal allergies. The image below compares symptoms caused by allergies and COVID-19.
Because some of the symptoms of COVID-19 and seasonal allergies are similar, it may be difficult to tell the difference between them, and you may need to get a test to confirm your diagnosis.
Morning Arrival
Morning Drop Off Guidelines
Complete the Student Covid Health Screener between 6:30 a.m and 7:30 a.m. each morning. You will get a reminder call from the office at 8:00 a.m. if this is not complete. This week, we have called about 20-30 families each morning, which has become an impossible task. A screening is required before student entry.
Drop off is from 8:05 a.m.- 8:20 a.m. (Washington Ave.) Pull your car as far forward as directed. Typically, the busiest drop off time is from 8:15-8:20, therefore, consider dropping your child off closer to 8:05.
Vehicle Drop Off is on Washington Avenue only. Please have your child ready to exit the vehicle when you pull up to the curb. (Ex: Bookbag on, mask on, water bottle ready etc).
Parents/Guardians: Do not park and exit your vehicle in the drop off lane. We are trying to keep the cars moving and this lane is for drop and go only.
All students must exit vehicles on the RIGHT side only. If they exit on the left side, they are in danger of getting struck by a car.
Late Arrivals: The doors will be locked at 8:20 a.m. and students will have to enter through the main doors and will be marked tardy.
- Biker Riders and Walkers can continue to use the blacktop entrance in the back of the school (Highland Terrace).
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we adjust to having double the vehicles and students on-site.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE: SCHOOL MEALS - 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR
As we continue with the hybrid model, Pitman Public Schools will be continuing to offer breakfast and lunch for PICK UP for students.
As a friendly reminder, this program is FREE for all children under the age of 18 in any household regardless of meal status.
Widescale participation by families in this program will also help us to keep our valued food service employees working through this public health emergency.
We appreciate you filling out your contact information for each order so we can easily contact you with any issues or changes in meal pick up.
Please fill out this form for ALL of your children EACH week.
Road Crossing Safety/Morning Arrival & Dismissal
All students and parents must use the crosswalk with the crossing guard. This applies to all streets surrounding the school.
Please do not stand across the street and motion for your child to cross unattended. Thank you for helping keep our students and staff safe!
Also, a big shout out to Miss Carol, our amazing crossing guard!
Out of State Travel
If you child has to quarantine, please contact your child’s teacher to discuss their instructional plans during this time.
If you are traveling out of country, your child will be required to quarantine for 14 days.
Wash Your Mask!
Kids How Should We Take Care of Masks and Cloth Face Coverings?
- Wash any worn masks at least once a day, or more often if they look dirty. If the manufacturer gave any special directions, follow them. Use the warmest settings on the washer and dryer that's safe for the material.
- It's OK to put your mask in the washing machine and dryer with your other laundry.
- Don't share masks unless they're washed and dried first.
- Don't store your mask with other people's masks. You can store each mask in its own clean paper bag or hang each one separately on a hook.
Please Wear A Mask At All Times
Also, there are no dogs/animals allowed on school property. Thank you for adhering to this rule, as we have students with pet allergies.
