Thank you, Alderman Page!

New Speed Bump Installed on 10th Street
Our students even got to watch the construction unfold, and it was so interesting to see! Thank you to Alderman Page and his commitment to the 63106 zip code, the families that live here, and the students that attend Patrick Henry. We are all so grateful!

Focus on Social Emotional Support
We know and love our students!
Ms. Ivory Ms. Ivory's students are pictured here after they transitioned from their morning "meeting" which is more like a rap session. Students and their teacher dance, sing, and move together as a group to celebrate their day and start it off with positivity and joy! | Ms. Evans Ms. Evans takes every group of her reading students to the next level not only academically but also emotionally as she encourages them and makes them feel incredibly proud of their accomplishments in reading. Every group is able to identify their starting level for the school year as well as their current reading level. They are proud of their growth, and we are too! | Ms. Jackson Ms. Jackson's class starts off with a morning meeting where students not only talk about their current state of emotions, but also their goals for the day. Several students were able to identify behavioral, social, or emotional goals for the day that would keep them on track academically. |

Thanks to the Patrick Henry Family!
I wanted to include a personal note of thanks at the end of this week's newsletter. Last week, I was able to take a few days off so I could get married to a wonderful man, Mr. Rob Curtis. We took a few days off before the wedding to spend time with our closest friends and family who were coming in town from all over the country, and then we got married right here in St. Louis (in Forest Park, Dr. Rogers' favorite place!) on Saturday, November 13th. It was a wonderful day filled with love and laughter. I wanted to thank all of our staff members for pulling together in my absence and making everything go so smoothly! A special thanks to Ms. Amber Smith for serving as the interim principal while I was gone. And I also wanted to say thank you to the staff, students, and parents who have been so kind in congratulating me and sending me their best wishes for a long and happy marriage. I take each of these messages to heart, and I thank you for them!
With lots of love,
Dr. Rogers
