Cougar Connect

Week of June 3, 2019

We are still missing a lot of Chromebooks, chargers, and/or hot spots. These were due last week. Please return those this week to Mrs. Marinos in room 531 ASAP.

Last Week of School

This is our last week of school. A reminder that dismissal each day is at 12:06 pm.

Congratulations to the Class of 2019! Best wishes to you next year in high school. 8th graders who are eligible to participate in graduation will receive their gown tomorrow. They need to be at Kennedy at 5:00 pm on Friday evening to check in at their assigned room (526, 527, or 417). Graduation starts at 6:00 pm. More details can be found below in the Graduation 2019 attachment.

Permission Slips for Field Day - All Grades

We are still missing a lot of permission slips for Field Day, which is this Tuesday. Field Day is for all grades. It is a reward for students who have demonstrated good behavior. Students will not be allowed to be on the inflatables and/or rock wall without these permission slips and will only be able to play the carnival games. If you have not signed your student's permission slips, please click the link above (Graduation 2019, which contains permission slips that work for all grades) and fill out the permission slips (pages 3 & 5 in English, pages 4 & 6 in Spanish). The last two pages contain permission slips in English and Spanish for 8th graders to be able to leave early on Friday after graduation practice is over.

REACH After School Program

This is a friendly reminder that students enrolled in the REACH after school program should be attending daily. This is also a reminder there will be no REACH program on the last day of school June 7th due to the REACH staff training. Thank you!

Thank You!

Thank you to the graduation committee, families, and staff who have already or will be making all of our graduation activities possible. Below are some pictures from Friday's 8th grade Great America Day. (Thanks you to parent and RCSD teacher, Kristy Herrera, for many of these pictures and the soccer pictures below).

Kennedy Wins Two Soccer Championships!

We had an exciting end to the soccer season! Both Kennedy girls teams dominated this season and made it to the championship game. The game even went to overtime. Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding season!

In the second match of the night, the Kennedy boys took on Selby Lane. The game came down to penalty kids, with Kennedy winning. Great job!

(Thank you to Mr. Haynes for the pictures from the boys game).
