Summer Connection Letter
If you received a letter requiring your student to attend Summer Connection, be sure to return the letter to MMS no later than May 19.
MMS Media Center....
Please continue to remind your child to turn in all library books to Mr. Miller in the media center. Students will receive an email each week reminding them of which items that they have checked-out. Mooresville Middle School can also collect books that belong to other schools in the district. Please contact Mr. Miller, justinmiller@mgsd.k2.nc.us, with questions or concerns.
Mooresville Public Library Summer Reading Information
Information for students in 7th-12th grade: Join us at the Mooresville Public Library for this year's Teen Summer Reading Program, Tails & Tales. Summer reading registration begins June 5 and teens can attend programs, earn prizes, and compete for a chance to get their name on our giant summer reading trophy. The winner of which will have the trophy displayed at their school for everyone to see! Please visit this link for an outline for the Teen Summer Reading Program. Information for students in K-6th Grade: Join us at the Mooresville Public Library for this year’s Summer Reading Program Tails and Tales! Summer reading registration begins June 5. EOY Award Ceremonies : May 26, 2021
May 26, 2021: Semester 2 Award Ceremony
Throughout the day on May 26, MMS teachers will host classroom award ceremonies.
The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will occur during period 2, in individual classrooms. Students will receive their certificate and a gift from MHS. Mr. Brown, MHS Principal, and Ms. Robinson, MMS Principal, will record a special address to the rising 9th graders.
All MMS Semester 2 Principal Cabinet students will receive a certificate and a $5 Amazon gift card.
All MMS A/B Honor Roll students will receive a certificate.
MAWI Lesson
On May 21, all students will take the MAWI SEL Post Assessment during Soc. Studies class.
MMS is using the MAWI program to facilitate social and emotional lessons that are designed to help students build life-long coping skills.
