Picking the Right Evidence
MAP
At convocation George Couros talked to us about getting away from saying we are data driven and to focus more on evidence, evidence that shows our students are successful. We talked a lot at the beginning of the year about how we are in a place to know our students way better than we ever have before. I'm so excited to see the relationships you have built in these first few weeks and now we are beginning to collect our evidence. The BAS window is open and we have MAP right around the corner. In our faculty meeting this week, certified staff only, will be trained and refreshed on MAP and making classes. We want to make sure we get all sessions set up correctly and with the correct nomenclature. As you continue to collect evidence on your students remember, we're going to pair the relationships we've built, the procedures we've created, and this evidence to help our students grow and learn. It's going to be another great week!
I'm going to link below the MAP growth resources padlet that we looked at last year. As you are getting prepared for MAP this is a great resource to use if you have questions or are seeking clarification. Don't worry, this is a padlet for you to read, not another one for you write on!
