Memorial Mass for Fr. Steve Nyl
Fr. Steve Nyl was an associate pastor at St. Al's and was very involved in the school from 2012-2015! He passed away from brain cancer in December. A Memorial Mass (Bilingual) for Fr. Steve Nyl of blessed memory will be celebrated Saturday, January 25, at 12:00 pm here at St. Al's church!
Catholic United Raffle - Ticket Sales Week 1
We hope everyone has been selling their tickets! Please remember you may turn in your tickets anytime you have sold them all! If you need more tickets - please contact Destinee Egan by emailing her.
Each, K-8 family is expected to sell at least 20 tickets. We are also asking Kinderstart families to try to sell 10 tickets. You can sell tickets to your neighbors, co-workers, friends, and family, and buy some for yourself! All the money raised stays at St. Al’s!! Plus, kids will earn an out of uniform pass for each book sold!
Tickets come in books of 10 and if you want extra books contact Destinee Egan at destinee.egan@gmail.com.

Catholic Schools Week Events
Sunday: Cookies with Crusaders after 10:30 AM Mass! Please join us for Mass where our students will be leading the singing!
Monday: Students may wear their favorite team apparel instead of their uniform! (Hats allowed at the discretion of the teachers)!
Tuesday: Students may wear their wacky clothes! Mismatched and crazy! Students may also have wacky hair - NO HAIR COLORING ALLOWED! Students may wear a hat too (at the discretion of the teachers)! FAMILY Bingo at 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM in the school cafeteria. Please enter Door 9 - this will be the only way into the school for this event! Bingo will cost $1 for the whole evening of games! Popcorn is 50 cents and flotas are $1.00! There will be prizes for the winners of our Bingo Games! Financial Aid Assistance Night from 6:00PM - 8:00 PM. Please enter Door 9 - this will take place in the middle school wing in the technology lab. A flyer was sent home in regards to what materials to bring to this event.
Wednesday: Today we will celebrate as a whole school at 8:30 Mass! Please come and join us and celebrate our beautiful school and the amazing students who attend! Students should wear uniforms today! Talent Show at 12:30 PM in the school gym!
Thursday: Kindergarten - 4th graders will be going on a field trip to Edinburgh Park in Edina all day! They may be out of uniform and should dress for a day of play! PreK and 5th - 8th grade students may wear their "comfy" clothes!
Friday: 5th - 8th Grade will go on their annual ski trip to Welch Village. They should dress appropriately for the weather! PreK and K-4th can wear their "comfy" clothes!

8:30 AM-10:30 AM and 11:30 PM-1:30 PM.
Grades 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8 will be packing in the morning and Grades K, 3, 5 and 7 in the afternoon!
We do have other shifts available on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon and evening for those that cannot help during the day!
Please use Sycamore to sign up adult volunteers for:
- Set up Shift from 3:30-5:30PM on Thursday, February 6th
- Packing Shift from 8:30AM-10:30 on Friday, February 7th
- Packing Shift from 11:30AM-1:30PM on Friday, February 7th
- Clean Up Shift from 7:30PM - 9:30PM on Friday, February 7th

Pancake Breakfast to Benefit St. Al's School
SCHOOL FUNDRAISER - PANCAKE, EGG & SAUSAGE BREAKFAST - The Knights of Columbus will be serving breakfast on Sunday February 2nd from 8:00AM – 12:00 Noon in the C.Ss.R. Hall. This is a suggested $ 5.00 donation breakfast with proceeds going to St. Al’s School. Donations are also accepted. Take out carry trays are available for $5.00 - Thank you for your continued SCHOOL support!
There are shifts available on Sycamore for Volunteers. All students MUST be accompanied by an adult! Sign up today!

Please remember if your child will be absent or tardy to call the attendance line at 763-503-3306. Please leave the specific reason your child is absent or tardy. If your child is gone from school for 3 or more days due to illness, a doctor's note is required. Also, if a child is gone from school for more than 1/2 day due to illness they may not participate in any evening activities. Thank you.
