Class of 2024
Congratulations on your upcoming Graduation!
For students participating in the graduation ceremony, please read the following information CAREFULLY.
We urge all eligible students to participate in the ceremony. Throughout your life, there will be several major milestones that should be celebrated; graduation is a significant accomplishment that others wish to celebrate with you.
Eligibility
Senior Course Deadline: May 10th
In order to participate in the graduation ceremony,
all coursework must be finalized.
This means that all dbas, exams, and assignments have been submitted and graded.
Graduation Dress Code
- Men: Dark slacks and white shirt with tie
- Ladies: Dress that is shorter than the gown or dark slacks
- Shoes: Dress shoes. NO flip flops or sneakers
- Cap: Mortar board flat with tassel on the right. Caps MAY NOT be decorated. There should be no writing on the outside of the cap. The student's name should be on the inside.
- Optional face mask: plain white or black only
If your shoes are new, please scuff the bottoms to ensure that you do not slip.
Graduation Regalia
Hillsborough Virtual K12 has issued the following regalia to those that qualified:
- Honor Stole
- National Honor Society Cord
- Mu Alpha Theta Cord
If we did not provide it, it cannot be worn over your gown.
Honor Stoles
Honor Stoles:
Seniors that are graduating with Honors will be able to purchase a Honor Stole. You will pick these up with your cap and gown. If you are unsure if you have achieved this designation, please contact your school counselor.
Rehearsal
Date: May 12th
Time: 9: 45 AM
Florida State Fairgrounds
Please be inside, and lined up, by 9:35 AM
During the rehearsal, graduates will receive their seating assignments.
If students intend to participate in the ceremony, they must attend rehearsal.
* Due to limited space in the building, parents must wait in their vehicles.
Graduation
May 21st, 3 PM
Florida State Fairgrounds: EXPO Hall
Arrival and Parking:
- Parking is $10 cash or credit. Exact change is appreciated
- Use the 301 Fairgrounds entrance for parking
- Guests will be permitted to enter the Expo Hall 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time (main doors east of the Expo Hall)
- All Guests must have their paper ticket for entry
- No large bags or camera cases will be permitted
- No banners or noise makers will be permitted
Graduate Arrival: 2:15 PM
- Graduates will enter through the Entertainment Hall, wearing their cap and gown
- Graduates need to arrive and enter 45 minutes prior to the ceremony start time
Tickets: Each graduate will receive 10 tickets to the ceremony.
