30th Free Dress Day

Dear Families,

We made it through our first three days of school. I want to thank all of my support staff: Ms. McCarthy, Ms. Arrellano, Ms. Aispuro, Ms. Sandoval, our Instructional Aides Ms. Herbert, Ms. Tapia, Ms. Mercado, Mr. Herrera, and our yard supervisors Ms. Mari, Ms. Ana, and Ms. Dina for all of their support in making sure that all of our students were able to make it to class on time. It takes a team to make everything go smoothly and I am very grateful that I have these wonderful team of personnel.

Thank you for your patience during the first couple of days. We now have a smooth start to drop off and I want to remind everyone that it is important to drive up into the loading zone and be able to drop off the students easily. Please remember to drive up to the first cone, as this allows more people to stop and unload safely on the right hand side.

Parents who turn onto 10th Ave from Bay need to drop off students and students are to walk to the crosswalk in order to come onto campus. This is to keep all students safe. Please refrain from having students cross in front of cars.

FIRST FULL WEEK

This week we begin our first full week. Please make sure to check the schedule for pick up times.

SECURE CAMPUS

It is important that all families understand that all gates are closed during the school day. The only entrance on campus will be through 10th Ave through the main office during school hours.

So families who are visiting the Child Development Office during the school day must check into the main school office before going to the CDC office in room 501.

After school hours which are after 4:00pm, parents will need to call CDC, PAL, BGCP ( after program) to pick up their child.

Please do not enter gates unless you have checked into school office. WE NEED ALL PARENTS TO HELP SUPPORT OUR SECURE CAMPUS FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL STUDENTS.

DROP OFF ZONE

We will once again begin to use 10th Ave as our drop off zone. White zone in front of the school is for drop off only, so PLEASE DO NOT PARK in the morning in this area. We will have personnel available to help all students get safely to the correct area if you drop them off in this area.

Gate on 8th Ave will also be open for morning drop off time and will be closed once school begins. So if your use 8th Ave, it will be closed at the second bell 8:20, all students will need to enter through 10th Ave through the main office.

Just a reminder that parking lot is ONLY FOR STAFF PARKING so please do not park in this area.

Also remember that we want all students to be dropped off safely so please refrain from dropping kids off on the opposite side of the street. If students are dropped off on the opposite side THEY MUST USE THE CROSS Walk to cross. THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR STUDENT SAFETY.

In addition, please do NOT MAKE A U-TURN ON 10TH AVE during drop off times.

Thank you!
