A message from the Principal

Newsletter #6

Dear Families,

It has been another great week of interacting with our students, teaching lessons, and training on the Canvas learning platform. The week has not been without technical difficulties as we had chromebook updates that provided STAR testing challenges on Wednesday and continue to refine our work with linking materials so students can access them in Canvas. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work on improving our lessons and digital materials. Your children have been patient and resilient through it all! It is also important to note that our GVES tech supports assigned to each grade level will no longer be available next week as they will begin their support of students in their classes. As a result, we want to share this link to access tech support from Stafford County

We have received our at-home math materials, science workbooks, and Kindergarten and First Grade literacy workbooks. As a result, we have more material pick up times next week. We will again have you access the school through the car rider parking lot (near the water tower) and pick up the materials from our staff members stationed outside. We have a variety of pick up times and enough materials to make sure every student gets their items. The times are as follows:

Monday, September 14 from 8:00 - 9:00, 10:00 - 11:00, 12:00 - 1:00, and 2:00 - 3:00

Tuesday, September 15 from 2:00 - 3:00

Thursday, September 17 from 2:00 - 3:00

Be well!
