Conflict

The conflict is when Joey gets sold to the military, taken away form his master, Albert, to be a warhorse, and Albert is too young to join the military with him. I knew that this was the conflict when Joey states that he didn't want to leave Albert, and that Albert didn't want Joey to go either.

Resolution

The old man who bought the horse, turns out to be Emilee's grandfather. He told Albert that Emilee had past away from Pneumonia, but before she did, she made him promise that the horses would be cared for. So, the man sold Albert Joey for a penny, but told him to share Emilee's story so she will not die in vain. Albert thanks him and they return home.
