Lunch and Recess
- Do NOT take away time for recess. This is an admin decision. All students must receive 30 minutes of lunch and 30 minutes of recess daily.
- Have personal conversations with students. Avoid hallway and cafeteria "shaming" (reprimanding students in font of their peers)
- Seek support or more adult supervision during challenging days or times. (Admin, ITL, Grade level teachers, special educators)
- Focus on positive reinforcement and working towards incentives for lunch and recess.
- If you need support getting students in or out of the building to ensure the maximum amount of time is utilized for recess, please seek support from LaShone or Deb.
