Student Schedules

Quarter 2 student schedules are available to students/families through PowerSchool. Schedules will show a students semester 1 classes, which includes Quarter 2 (B day). ClassChoice is OPEN and available for families and students to have access to their full school year schedule.

Students are strongly encouraged to check their schedules as soon as possible to ensure that they are on track to graduate. Schedule change forms will ONLY be accepted electronically and ONLY one change form may be submitted per student. ALL SCHEDULE CHANGES ARE FINAL! Quarter 2 schedule change request may be submitted beginning Monday, November 2. Schedule change requests MUST be submitted by Friday, November 13 at 3:00pm. No late schedule changes will be accepted!

Based on your submission of a schedule change request form, the student's School Counselor will reach out to the student directly via West Ada student e-mail regarding requests. You will hear from your School Counselor via student e-mail if your changes have been approved or denied.

Please keep in mind that schedule change requests are NOT guaranteed. School Counselors will make every effort to accommodate your requests. However, due to class sizes and in an effort to adhere to physical and social distancing requirements there is very little flexibility.​​​​​​​

Attention CHS Students: Yearbook REALLY wants your photos! We need your images for the following yearbook pages:

  • Summer: Pictures of all your summer adventures!
  • Life in Quarantine: Pictures of fun things you did (or still do) in quarantine or for all your social distancing fun!
  • Trends: Pictures of you sporting the latest fashion trends!
  • Cars: Pictures of you with your car!
  • Music Therapy: Pictures of you playing a musical instrument OR listening to your favorite band!
  • Patriot Pets: Pictures of you and your pet(s) hanging out!

Class of 2021 - Senior Spotlight

We are so proud of our Patriot seniors! For their creativity, their athletic talent, their persistence and especially their resilience during this time. In an effort to give seniors some individual recognition, Senior Spotlights will be posted in our school newsletter and through social media. Please fill out the following information (link below) to the best of your ability. Anything you leave off will simply be deleted, so please don’t stress if you don’t have an answer for some of the spaces. However, please note that the less you fill out, the less that will be included in your Senior Spotlight. Any inappropriate forms will be dismissed and will not be included. Please also upload ONE student picture that you would like to include. Members of the Class of 2021, we hope you or members of your family will fill out this electronic form and upload your favorite photo of yourself to be featured in a Senior Spotlight.

Senior Spotlights will be posted in order of submission from now until graduation. We would like to be able to do 2-3 seniors each week, so please get your forms in ASAP. Any questions may also be emailed to Ms. Scheppers.

CHS Hands-on FAFSA Night

Hands-on FAFSA night will be Thursday, November 12th in the Centennial Computer Labs from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Hands-on FAFSA Night will walk parents/students through the online process of applying for and completing the FAFSA. Appointments are REQUIRED and cane be made with College & Career Counselor, Mrs. Townsley - townsley.alyson@westada.org


AVANZA! - University of Idaho is hosting their annual AVANZA program virtually this year.

November 17, 18, 19 6-8PM. MT.

Avanza is a great opportunity for Hispanic/Latina seniors to discover how U of I will help them achieve their goals. They’ll meet our staff and alumni, learn about the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), and get one-on-one help with their admission application and FAFSA before our December 1 priority date (the early consideration date for our diversity scholarships). All services at Avanza for parents and students are offered in Spanish and English.

Students who attend Avanza will be interviewed for a chance to win one of twenty $500 scholarships provided by Idaho Central Credit Union.

Women in Technical Careers is an interactive and informative discussion for female students in grades 9-12. Presenters will include engineers, chemists, physicists, and more!

Career & Technical Education

Are you interested in a hands-on career? College of Western Idaho (CWI) offers comprehensive training in just 9-24 months. Programs include: Automotive Technology, Computer Support Specialist, Early Childhood Education, Heavy Equipment Technician, Welding and Metals Fabrication, and many more!

Emails from college representatives from across the country are coming in DAILY! They want to meet YOU and share information about their schools, including the application process. All visits are virtual and most begin at 3:30 PM. Invite your parents to join the meeting too!

Girls in STEM presented

Attention high school girls: Take an hour out of your day to join a discussion with female STEM professionals from MICRON Technology. Bring your questions, or just plan to listen in on an informative session where you will hear personal experience about the path from high school through college to a career in a STEM field.

Discussions will be the first Monday of each month - December 2nd 11:00-12:00

Spring IDLA Registration - Open Now!

If you are looking to graduate early, have fallen behind, prefer online learning - Idaho Digital Learning Alliance (IDLA) provides online solutions for a variety of academic needs.

AND, if you meet the requirements, you can request Fast Forward Funds to pay for your class(es).

BSU - Sophomore Start

Freshmen and Sophomore students at CHS can participate in the Boise State University, Sophomore Start Program. It is designed for a motivated student who can maintain a 3.0 GPA and who would like to earn 30 college credits while still in high school. Students can utilize Fast Forward Funds to pay for these college credits. This can be a great opportunity to enter college as a Sophomore for students who are planning to attend Boise State. A dedicated advisor will work with the student throughout their participation in the program.

Idaho Opportunity Scholarship

The application period is now open for the Idaho State Board of Education's Idaho Opportunity Scholarship! The Opportunity Scholarship awards eligible applicants up to $3,500 per academic year and is renewable for up to four years! Apply by March 1, 2021 using the link!

The scholarship funds are available per school year. Recipients must renew each year and are eligible to receive the scholarship for a maximum of four years.


To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Have an unweighted, cumulative GPA of 2.7 or above
  • Be an Idaho resident
  • Graduated or will graduate from an Idaho high school or its equivalent or Idaho home school (GED/HSE from Idaho)
  • Complete the State Board of Education scholarship application by March 1
  • FAFSA Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by March 1
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress for financial aid purposes. (See program rules for more details.)

Next Steps Idaho - College Application Month

Governor Brad Little has declared October “Next Steps Month,” a time for students to focus on thinking about what they want and how they’ll achieve their goals.

Next Steps Month is a mash-up of College Application Month, FAFSA nights, college and career readiness activities, CTE promotion, and other efforts designed to help young Idahoans build their future.
