Inspire Excellence in Education [September 28, 2015]

Big image

Do you believe intelligence and talent are fixed at birth? When you see a struggling student in your class, do you think to yourself, "bless his heart, this is the best he can do"? People with a growth mindset believe intelligence and talent can be nurtured and developed. They are inspired by others success and are open to challenges and feedback. Our mindset is a set of beliefs or a way of thinking that determines our behavior and attitude. The important thing is, whatever you believe ... you are going to be right. Students will only rise as high as you allow them to grow. Let's teach our students that strength does not come from what you can do; it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't.
