Spring Term 1, Week 5
A Word from Mr Broom
After half term, we're straight into parent consultations on the Tuesday and Thursday of the first week back. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone around and very much looking forward to welcoming Mrs Cato back to school, after her maternity period. Mrs Cato will teach Year 3/4 on a Wednesday and Friday until Easter, with Mr Crump at the helm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Have a lovely break everyone.

World Book Day - 6th March
We are starting to look ahead to World Book Day, which we will celebrate in school on Wednesday 6th March with a whole range of exciting activities. I wanted to give you advanced notice about some of the interesting reading opportunities we have planned.
· Dress up as your favourite character or wear your comfy clothes/PJs to come to school.
· Parents are invited into class to come and share a book with their child 8:30-9am. This might be a favourite book from home or a book from our reading areas in school.
· During the day children will have the opportunity to share their love of reading with pupils from different classes.
We cannot wait to see the amazing reading adventures you get up on this day and share our love of reading as a whole school community.
Thank you for your support with these exciting activities.

Car Convos!
Talk is really important for all learners in school and we know that our children are exposed to lots of exciting learning opportunities, both at home and at school. To help develop speaking and listening skills and knowledge of the wider world, we're introducing Car Convos! A topic that we share in the newsletter on a Friday, that families can discuss in the car on their travels. We'll then pick this up after the weekend.
This week in school, we've talked about the Children's Mental Health. Our Car Convo this week therfore aims to build on this.

Staff Shout Outs
I've had a few messages from parents/carers asking about how they can send a staff shoutout for a staff team. It's great that you think about them and really does help to raise morale.
