The No-Shave November Challenge is ON!!!

Well, the State Road No-Shave November Challenge is on and in full force! I have seen and heard from many State Road families who have accepted the No-Shave November Challenge with me in our unified effort to raise money for the American Cancer Society! Whether you are rockin the full beard, sporting the stache, or growing the goat, it's all in good fun so that we can raise awareness and support for cancer research!

How can you help or donate? Simple! We have a "change jar" in the office with a $500 GOAL! If each student finds a dollar in change under the couch cushions or the car seats and brings that in, we will certainly reach our goal!

Also, check out my "no-shave" timeline pictures below and SHARE your "no-Shave" pictures on our State Road Facebook page as well! Thank you for all your support!!!

Popcorn Friday’s are back!!!

This Friday, November 14th is our first popcorn day. Bags are $0.50. If you are available to help pop and bag popcorn that morning, meet Ann and her crew in the cafeteria after drop off. Thanks!

Our first box top contest ended as a huge success! We raise $1,252.60 with Ms. Mullins class winning the contest! Each of her students will receive a free bag of popcorn this Friday! Way to go everyone!

This month, as we celebrate Thanksgiving and reflect on what makes us thankful, please know, that each and every one of you are counted amongst those we are thankful for! Without ALL of you, we couldn’t do any of what we are able to do. So, thank you for your dedication and commitment to making State Road the best place to send our kids! Enjoy your break!

Hungry Howie's & Leo's Fundraisers!!!

THANK YOU to ALL of our families who have participated in our Hungry Howie's Night and Leo's Family Night Fundraisers! Each event brings in around $250 for State Road Elementary, and has helped us purchase laminating rolls, chart paper, and other classroom teaching supplies! Our next purchase with this money will be a large paper cutting board (as the one we've had for years has finally cut it's last paper...) THANKS AGAIN!!!

Please Help Prevent the Spread of Sickness, Head Lice, etc...

Parents: We have had several reported cases of Strep Throat and Head Lice. The best way to prevent the spread of sickness, communicable diseases, or issues such as head lice is to take preventative steps at home prior to sending your child to school. Please also contact the office right away to let us know of any sickness or confirmed case of lice that your child may have. For more ‘health’ related information, please visit the State Road website and select “Student Health Info” under the Information Tab. Thank you!

Please visit the "Student Health Information" section of our website (link below) for more information!
