LLI- Lancaster Learning Institute - WHAT IS THAT???
An LLI course can be offered and funded by any department. ITS has offered numerous LLI courses on Nearpod, Webex, and other technology tools to support instruction. CIA offers many LLI courses on instructional strategies, curriculum platforms, arts integration, etc. as well as courses designed for new teachers in the Induction program.
It's important to note that LLI courses are scheduled through PD Express and that if you have questions about any LLI course, you need to communicate with the department offering the PD.
You can also access PDExpress through Classlink!

iReady/Nearpod District Library Lessons
After attending a PD course on how to transfer the iReady TTB lessons to Nearpod, teachers have been hard at work creating lessons for their grade levels. You can find these lessons in the Nearpod District Library (iReady Teacher Tool Box Lessons folder)
PLEASE NOTE:
- These lessons were designed using the teacher and student edition of the iReady Teacher Tool Box lessons. In order to use these lessons in Nearpod, you will need to access the original lessons from the iReady Instruction Book (found in the Teacher Tool Box) to familiarize yourself with the flow and teaching elements of the lesson. For a refresher on the iReady Teacher Toolbox click HERE.
- These lessons were designed by teachers for their own personal classroom needs and shared in hopes to help ease the burden of planning for others. That said, teachers are welcome to make a copy of any lesson and edit it for their own classroom use or preferences.
- It is our goal to continue to work with teachers and instructional coaches to create and add lessons for the High Priority Standards at each grade level (3-8). This is a work in progress...
A special THANK YOU to all of the teachers who have contributed so far!

Arts Integration in the Age of Distance Learning
Teachers attempting to incorporate the arts into distance learning discover great payoffs along with serious challenges. The arts provide powerful tools for deepening learning and checking for understanding, and arts integration in the content areas enhances student engagement and motivation. Put simply, art is fun and makes students want to show up and learn! However, when it comes to getting art supplies into the hands of students during distance learning, the
challenge is real. Teachers are tasked with finding innovative ways to utilize supplies and materials their students already have at home, and the importance of providing multiple access points is more vital than ever. The articles below describe some ways teachers are overcoming the problems of distance and supplies in order to continue bringing the arts to their students.
