Athletic Director Notes:
BHS Athletic Banquet was a success! Time to hit the re-set button.
Our annual athletic banquet is an event that creates so many memories. I still have memories from the days when I attended the banquets as an athlete. It's a fitting tribute to our kids who have worked tirelessly over the past year and have devoted countless hours to their craft, their coaches and teammates. But it also symbolizes a new beginning. As we bid farewell to our seniors, it's also the time of year when everyone takes the next step on the ladder and we collectively set our sights on our next set of challenges. We've already put the ball in motion with planning summer conditioning, making adjustments to our off-season and weight room routines, and working on staff changes. I am extremely eager and excited to lead our Lady Warriors into the new school year!
Lady Warrior Athletics has a spring to remember!

Incoming freshmen get a jump start on high school athletics
When 8th grade athletes transition to high school athletics, it's a drastic change in intensity, speed, and workload. In order to get a head start on that transition, we have been bussing the 8th grade girls to the high school every afternoon for athletics. They go through the same workout with the same expectations as the high school girls. This has given the coaches a chance to get to know the girls better and has also given the girls a glimpse into next year while learning the expectations of the coaching staff. So far the results have been very good. We look forward to carrying that momentum into the summer conditioning program and even further into the fall sports.
Summer Strength & Conditioning Program
Plans have been underway for the summer workout program for all athletes, grades 7-12. The program will run throughout the month of June, with July being the time for rest & recovery, camps, family vacations, etc. All coaches, Jr. High and high school, will contribute and continue to build relationships during this time when our kids can focus solely on preparing for next year's sports without the rigours of juggling academics and extra-curricular activities simultaneously.
