Give me direction on what to do,
lead the way, Lord, I trust in you
From the Principal
Dear St Columba’s school community,
This week has been a fairly quiet one at St Columba’s! Staff are busy finalising teaching and learning programs and preparing Semester One Reports.
As winter has started, and the cold and flu season is in full swing, can I please remind parents that if your child is unwell, they should stay home until they are well enough to return to school. Please follow the normal processes and advise the school of your child’s absence by emailing the front office.
Last Thursday was a very proud moment for me as I watched our wonderful Year 6 students create and organise a fabulous ‘Fun Afternoon’. The atmosphere was exciting, and the sound of laughter and enjoyment was infectious. Congratulations to everyone as the amount raised from these stalls was $1244.50. Thank you to our dedicated staff for assisting, in particular Mr Beins.
Finally, please remember that Friday, July 2nd, is a Pupil Free Day. The school will be closed on this day as all staff will be participating in a Professional Learning Day off site.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

Christmas Fair News
There continues to be a fabulous uptake of fair sponsorship packages, and I would like to say a huge thank you to the Family businesses within our school community who have shown their support for our major school fundraiser. Keep an eye on all the school socials over the coming months as we will be giving each of these businesses a big shout out!
A reminder to please jump onto Instagram and Facebook and follow our St Columba's Christmas Fair pages. Help me to spread the word and SHARE SHARE SHARE!
We are seeking someone within the school who is an Approved Manager under the liquor control act. This is a legal requirement for the management of the Bar so please let me know if you can help out.

In the next week I will be sending out applications for market stall and food vendors. If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in a stall please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) to register your interest.
