Virtual Learning: Extended
Due to current circumstances, Jefferson Township schools will continue to be virtual through Friday, January 22nd. Many of you may be feeling upset, anxious, and eager to see friends and teachers again, and that is a valid feeling to have! However, sometimes it is important to shift perspective and continue to remind ourselves what we CAN be grateful for while we continue to navigate these uncharted territories. While it may not be perfect at all times, let's be thankful for the technology that allows us to continue learning even while we are at home. It is OKAY to feel both upset and grateful simultaneously!
A few reminders for our last full week of Marking Period 2:
A few reminders for our last full week of Marking Period 2:
- JTMS is virtual through 1/22
- the second marking period is over on January 27th
- any day that you are home, you MUST submit the attendance google form on your homeroom google classroom between 7:25- 7:30am (if you are late submitting it, have a parent/guardian call the middle school attendance line, otherwise you will be marked absent for the day!)
- if you are struggling in any classes, be sure to attend office hours at least once per week, email your teachers, and challenge yourself to participate more in class and ask questions- if you haven't been doing these things yet, you will see how they can help dramatically!
- if you need to chat, vent, have a question, etc., reach out to your school counselor... we'd be happy to set up a google meet with you!

Essentials with Miss Ellingsen
Healthy Middle School Habits
Middle school is a time of growth where students are learning how to do their best academically, who they want to be, and what they want to do. There are several things that middle schoolers can do to set themselves up for success like keeping track of what they need to do, planning ahead, learning study skills, choosing positive people to surround themselves with, setting goals, making it a habit to turn work in, exercising, getting enough sleep, and throwing kindness around like confetti. Check out this week’s video to learn more!
