STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
VIRTUAL SCHOOL HOURS FOR THE WEEK OF October 4th
HOURS 9:15 -3:30
SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION/GUIDED READING 2:40 - 3:30
Establishing routines and schedules for your child will ensure their overall success. We want our teachers and students to follow a schedule that is very close to the schedule they will have when returning to school in person. Therefore, attendance is important and we expect our students to attend their Google Classroom daily. We will pay particular attention to the social and emotional needs of our students, building strong relationships in this new environment and ensuring their comfort as an online learner.
VIRTUAL LEARNING WEEK FIVE
1ST GRADE ROCK STARS
Mrs. Ogborn's 1st grade class won a boosterthon challenge, and were able to create a rock star video as their reward.
Mrs. Cochrane's Class
My class has been enjoying the F&P interactive read alouds. The text set we are reading through at the present time is Connecting Across Generations: Family. The most recent text in this set that we have been enjoying is called MOONCAKES. This text is about a young Chinese American girl who celebrates the Moon Festival with her parents by staying up late, eating mooncakes, and telling traditional Chinese folktales. My class was able to discover what mooncakes are, research the Moon Festival, and make their very own Chinese lanterns. This text set is perfect for my class as I have a very diverse class with many different cultural backgrounds. Here are some of my students with their Chinese lanterns!

Dream Bedrooms...Bitmoji Style!
Students in the 3rd grade GT program are learning about Google Slides. Skills learned include inserting text boxes and images, copying and pasting, rotating, hyperlinking and other formatting options. To demonstrate their learning students were tasked with creating their own dream emoji classroom. Here are a few of their products.
