Staff Appreciation Letter
This year has been very challenging for all of us. In the face of this challenge, you have responded beyond all expectations. You have pivoted to providing both instruction and support to our students and families. You have supported one another in many ways, while balancing support for your families and yourselves. Many of you have spent countless hours supporting students on the phone, Zoom meetings, Google classroom, and Chrome Books, figuratively holding their hands as they learned to walk through a challenge. I want to shout out a big THANK YOU for all you have been doing and all that you do every single day!
There have been many times during this remote learning experience, and there will be times in the upcoming days and new academic year, when frustration may push you to ask: "Why am I doing this?" It may come from frustration with the new use of technology, a parent, a student, or even us at administration.
In moments like this one, I remember the story "Making a difference", sometimes referred to as "The Starfish Story"
Finally, I want to thank you for the support, patience, and appreciation I felt from all of you as a first year Assistant Principal. I felt embraced by you and the rest of our learning community as part of our Indian family. With this said, I will be moving to Ganado this coming June, so I can be nearer our school and our students. You are all more than welcome to visit me once I am settled in.
I look forward to an excellent 2020-2021!!!
Thank you,
William Prats
Secondary School Assistant Principal
