SPRING BREAK TRIP TO FLORIDA!
By Someone
IT WAS A HECK OF A JOURNEY
The trip went fine for the first several hours, in fact, we were ahead of schedule. Things were going great right up until the GPS got confused and turned us around. It detected minor traffic up ahead and took us off the interstate which made us lose about two hours.
We managed to get back on track after a while. We also stopped for food along the way.
ARRIVAL
After about another two hours of driving, we arrived at my uncle's house (it's really a mansion since he's an ER doctor). Most of the family from my mom's side was there and there was a ton of food. The also had an amazing electronic keyboard (guess where I spent all my time). The was big, but there were like fifty people there so my family had to stay at a motel. The motel was nice and right on the beach.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME
The weather was great and warm until it started to rain. We got to walk the beach which was fun. Some members of my family also went on a bike-ride even though I decided to sit that one out. The family also rented an all terrain wheelchair for my grandpa who is 91. It was funny to see him driving down the beach with that monster wheelchair. We ate at a beach-side dinner which had fresh shrimp. At the end of the day, we fired off some of the fire works we brought from GA.
IT WAS TIME TO HEAD BACK
The drive back was rainy and boring but when we finally arrived home, it was nice to just be back in our own home. In all, it was a fun spring break trip.
