Letter from Mrs. Martin

Dear Shark Families,

We have finished the first quarter of learning and what a fantastic start to the school year.! I know we are all just getting back into the swing of things and while we have faced some challenges, overall, I think the students and staff have done a great job re-acclimating to a mostly traditional school year.

Please remember, the safety of our students and staff are of the utmost importance. We continue to require masks to be worn at school in compliance with district guidelines. Let’s stay safe and healthy for each other.

Winter is quickly approaching, please plan to send your students to school in layers. We encourage sweatshirts but would appreciate it if you do not allow your students to bring blankets to school.

With all of the breaks approaching, both Thanksgiving and winter break, please enjoy time with family and friends, stay safe and warm.

Michelle Martin

Hello Shark Families,

My name is Shalonda Hicks. I am your new Family Ambassador’s at Columbus Scioto 6-12 School.

I am writing to each of you because we at Columbus Scioto understand the negative impact that COVID-19 has placed on many of our families, which is why starting 11/08/2021, we will begin a new call initiative called Check & Connect.

Check & Connect is a way for us to hear what you are experiencing in real-time and provide you with up-to-date information about social, health, and government services. It is also a way to remind you of upcoming district and building events.

We know that calls during the day may make you think we are calling about a concern with your child, which is why I want to inform you that any call from this number 614-585-3983 will be a check-&-connect call.

Please know that we are all in this together and we are looking forward to partnering with you this 2021-2022 academic year.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Shalonda Hicks
