7th Grade Weekly Update
Week of November 23rd - 27th, 2020
Dear 7th Grade Families
Core Class Information
Jennifer Morelock
7th Grade Math
We spent the past week reviewing for our Topic 2 test over ratio and proportion. The students will be testing at home on Monday (A group) or Tuesday (B group). Students need to log into the google meet (link is on Google Classroom) for attendance and will then be sent to work on the online test.
Nichole Sullinger
7th Grade Science
Students should be working on their Engineering Notebook to have them submitted on Tuesday. For both Group A and Group B, the due date for the Engineering Notebook will be Tuesday, at 11:59 pm.
With next week moving to virtual, I decided all students will watch a video and reflect over what their original design and how it compared to the cars they see in the video. On Monday (Group A) and Tuesday (Group B), students will join the virtual call and work through their Engineering Notebooks together in small groups. Students need to come to our virtual class next week prepared with majority of the Engineering Notebook completed, so they can add to the discussion.
If students have questions, please have them email me! We will be testing our cars when we return for our assessment grade.
Tyrone Seymour
7th Grade Social Studies
This week in Social Studies we are wrapping up our sections over Early Man. We will be having a comprehensive quiz on Monday (11/23) and Tuesday (11/24) during our remote learning days. We are also going to be working on the Stone-Age Sketch Project that has been posted to Google Classroom. The students have done a great job this week organizing their Cornell Notes with in-class discussions. Keep up the great work!!!!
