Real Men Read, Cards for Kids, Cadet Clean Up & More!
Early Finisher = Joy to a Child
During the month of December students had the early finisher option of creating a card in the shape of a hot chocolate mug to be delivered to the Children's Hospital in Greenville. Some students added a bit of poetry to their work to brighten a child's day. Thanks to Mrs. Gregory for organizing the delivery.
Cadet Winner!
The November Library Cadet challenge took the form of a clean up game and competition. Each cadet had the opportunity to gain points based on how they helped tidy up the library. Congratulations to Gracen who is wearing her prize!
Real Men Read
Calling All Monarch Men! Monarch Elementary School is hosting a Real Men Read
Week in the Media Center soon. We are looking for men who are interested in
reading to a Kindergarten, first grade, or second grade class. Goals of the program
are to promote male role models in education, and to demonstrate to young people that men value reading! Click here to see available dates in April.
Teacher Tip
By pressing the blue FN key on your laptop it allows some of the other keys to become numbers in the layout of the old numeric keypad. The proper keys are marked on the keys in blue.
