High School Musical
Yulee High School Theater Program put on a fantastic performance of High School Musical on Stage!
Bye Bye Birdie
Bye, Bye Birdie was performed by the Fernandina Beach High School Pirate Players on April 22, 23, & 24. They had quite the adventure of putting everything together for the production. The students were terrific throughout the entire process. Mr. Johnson is incredibly proud of them.
Yulee Steppers
The Yulee High Steppers competed in "The Stompdown Experience" at Jacksonville, FL's Prime Osborne Convention Center. The Yulee Steppers placed 2nd in the High School Division.
Class 1A District 4 Champions!
Congratulations to the Hilliard Middle-Senior High School Boys 4x100 Relay Team, the Class 1A District 4 Champions! DJ Coston, Klayton Bright, Matthew Goolsby, and Braydon Holley will move on to the Track & Field Regionals!
DJ also placed 4th in Javelin!
Klayton also placed 2nd in both Long Jump and Javelin!
Shout out also to Damon Kibler, who medaled in High Hurdles, and Brandon Matthews, who won a medal in Discus.

Symphonic Band Performance
The Fernandina Beach High School Symphonic Band traveled to the University of Florida to perform in the Florida Band Associations State Music Performance Assessment. The Pirates were judged by three band directors from Ohio State, Univ. of Alabama, and Marietta, GA. They received a rating of Excellent!
Electrical Training Alliance
Daniel McEachern from the Electrical Training Alliance of Jacksonville presented to Mr. Mizenko, Hilliard Middle-Senior High School Career Tech Classes. They learned about apprenticeship and employment opportunities as an Electrician and gained hands-on knowledge of how to build a circuit with the Snap Circuit 3D M.E.G. (Magnetics, Electronics, Gears.)
State Champion
Hilliard Middle-Senior High School's Colton Conner won the FHSAA Weightlifting State Championship for the 1A, 139 weight class division.
Future Little Pirates
The 2nd Graders from Southside came over to Emma Love Hardee Elementary to tour! Students learned Emma Love Hardee's expectations and had a tour to see our beautiful campus!
On Tuesday, April 19th, over 200 future Little Pirates and their families returned to ELH, To Get the Scoop on 3rd Grade! Ms. Smith and Ms. Clark served ice cream while our excellent 3rd-grade teachers greeted families and shared special events and activities that our students will participate in next year!
Bumblebee Discoveries
While Mrs. Hoke's Kindergarten class at Callahan Elementary learned about plants, they found a new vocabulary word, pollen. The students asked what pollen is and why it is essential for plants. They decided to become bumblebees, eat Cheetos, and spread their "pollen" on paper flowers. The students were able to see how pollen works in real life and why pollination is vital to plants.
