Dear Families,
The American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge program is kicking off on May 4th! Help your child get a jump start by registering on the Kids Heart Challenge website- http://www2.heart.org/goto/coronita. When registering, your child will choose a heart healthy challenge to Be Active or Be Kind and earn a FREE Road Warrior Wristband! Our goal is to have 100% of our students register online and take the Challenge.
This year, the KHC Explorers are going on a ROAD TRIP! CLICK HERE to jump on board and experience the road trip across the U.S. through daily activities for physical health, mental wellbeing and tips to help others with special hearts! Let’s have fun and save lives!
UPDATE.....
We have some AMAZING Kids Heart Challenge news! As a school, we've already reached nearly $500 of our $2,000 goal! Our top three classes so far are: Mrs. Wolfe, Mrs. Flores, and Mrs. Sanchez...way to go you all!
Bulldogs, please remember to hold onto those envelopes until next Friday, May 20th, and keep asking for those donations, especially online. 37 students have registered online and have received their bracelet, so we only need 13 more to reach our goal of 50.
Come on, Bulldogs, I know we can do it! Let's slime Mr. Hale and have a "Heart-Healthy Blast" on Monday, May 23, at our annual Kids Heart Challenge event!

Speak Up for Safety Tipline
CNUSD families, as an ongoing support to our commitment to safe schools for all, we are excited to announce the launch of a new SpeakUp for Safety tipline that will allow students to easily and confidentially report threats of violence, bullying, peers in crisis, and other imminent concerns that affect students’ well-being and security.
The SpeakUp for Safety tipline will be continually monitored by safety professionals, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year long. Non-life-threatening tips will be quickly routed to designated school or district staff members, and in severe situations, district-appointed contacts will be immediately notified to take action. In the most urgent cases in which a student is in immediate danger and representatives are unable to notify a district-appointed contact, law enforcement will be contacted to intervene.
CNUSD SpeakUp for Safety tipline can be called or text at 951-589-0600 or emailed to speakup@students.cnusd.k12.ca.us

Annual Online Registration
Summer Boost Program Is Back!
Have you heard the news about Kindergarten?!
Have you heard? Starting in the 2022-23 school year, CNUSD will offer full-day kindergarten at all elementary schools! A full-day program will afford children the academic learning time needed to prepare for mastery of primary grade reading and math skills while also allowing for time to address developmental needs.
CNUSD is also expanding our age eligibility for Transitional Kindergarten for the 2022-23 school year. TK will be offered for students who turn 5 years of age between Sept. 2, 2022 and Feb. 2, 2023. Please note: TK is not a full-day program.
