Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist Minister and an activist who never used violence, just his words. He led the Civil Rights movement in the U.S. from the mid-50's until 1968, when he was assassinated.
Early Life
Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929, in Atlanta Georgia. He had an older sister and a younger brother, they grew up in a safe and loving environment. But Martin's family could not shield him from racism, he believed it was affront against God's will. He entered public school at the age of 5, May 1936 he was Baptized.
Education
In 1948, Martin got his sociology degree, from Morehouse College. He thrived in all of his classes, he was even elected study body president. During his last year, he became involved with spiritual development.
