Mrs. Mailloux's Classroom News
The students did a great job on our trip downtown to the farmer's market last Thursday. We had a chance to see what all the vendors had to offer and even the dog races in the park. It was great to see the students making thoughtful decisions about what to buy.
We have read some great stories from their reading anthologies recently, Olivia and Whistle for Willie. We continue to practice what good readers do such as make inferences, make predictions and retelling the story. The students have also been learning about light and sound!
During math we have been learning about 3-D and 2-D shapes. The students learned about defining attributes for the shapes like the number of sides or vertices and wether the sides are straight or curved.
