Weekly Updates from Mrs. K
March 18, 2022
From the Principal's Office
Parent Teacher conference week was a success! It was great to see so many of the grown up faces to put with our littles. Thank you for taking the time to partner with us in supporting the growth and education of your child. If you have any lingering concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or to me.
Touch A Truck is a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types including public service, emergency, utility, construction, transportation, and delivery all in one place! Children will be allowed to touch their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel, and meet the people who help to build, protect and serve our community.
Play exhibits, games and food will also be part of the day’s entertainment.
A sensory friendly hour will be held from 10am to 11am for families to enjoy a less-crowded, reduced sound from select exhibits and a quiet, respite space with sensory materials available. Volunteers from Family SOUP will be present.
Children 1 and under Free.
Tickets are $5 for children and adults.
You can purchase tickets online or at Playzeum
Questions You Could Ask
- Why do you think it’s important to keep on going, even when things get hard? Who do you think about when you hear, “Quitters never win and winners never quit?” What makes them so good at Perseverance? Do you think there’s ever a time that it’d be okay to quit?
- Discuss a time in your life when you persevered even though it may have been difficult. What happened and how did you feel? What did you learn from the experience?
- What’s a challenge for you right now? What’s the hardest part? What are some resources – people, strategies, tools, inspiration – that could help you? What’s one step we can take together to overcome this challenge?
