Brandon Ryder (pictured above) and the guitar he made in Mr. Sousa’s class. Brandon is a big country music fan. He has been to two Tim McGraw concerts and this inspired him to make this folk guitar. He did a great job. I am proud of him!

9th grade student Kelsey Culver has taken it upon herself to offer assistance in the Main Office whenever her schedule permits. Here’s what made the difference:
These students all
saw their failures as learning
took risks in the company of others
had an extra bit of determination
learned from other people’s mistakes
proved that effort and hard work promote learning
I want to acknowledge these students for possessing a growth mindset and ask them to be proud of this and let their effort and positive attitude about learning guide them throughout their education here at MRHS! Congratulation! Ms. Freitas
Congrats to the class of 2019 on a very successful and fun prom fashion show!
Authentic Learning Experience in Science at MRHS
Sea turtles are typically off-limits for classroom dissections due to the fact that they are an endangered species, so we are lucky that we are able to participate because of our involvement with the program through the Audubon. Thank you Audubon!

FLU UPDATE January 2018
The CDC continues to recommend that unvaccinated people get vaccinated for the flu. While some of the viruses spreading this season are different from those covered in the vaccine, vaccination can still provide protection and reduce the severity of the illness. The CDC also recommends that people with high risk factors who get flu like symptoms should be evaluated for possible treatment with antiviral drugs. It is important to take everyday precautions like keeping your distance from sick people and washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Frequently touched surfaces should be disinfected at home, work and school, especially if someone is ill. Please report flu-like symptoms and confirmed cases to the Health Office. Please visit https://www.cdc.gov/flu/index.htm for more information.
