Parents we appreciate if you do not bring balloons or flowers for this quick assembly. We will be handing out awards all year and you will have the opportunity to bring them at the end of the school year.

El Monte Swims Program
Second Grade Students Only
There is a very important informational meeting on Monday, November 6th for all second grade parents for the annual Swim program offered to our second grade students. There wil be two meetings scheduled for parents to attend and if you have questions this is a good opportunity to get all the questions answered. Therefore, the following is the zoom link and times for this meeting.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
This is a wonderful opportunity for all students
This is a Co-Ed youth sports program and it is for children in grades Kindergarten - 3rd grade. It focuses on the fundamentals of flag football, basketball, volleyball, cheer and aquatics, while introducing sportsmanship to all participants.
The program is after school from 2:00 - 5:30 p.m. If your child is in the Think Together program they will not be dropped. The Think Together program and City Parks and Recreation are working together in order to bring these different after school sports to La Primaria students. HOWEVER, students who are in the CHEER program will need to be dropped from Think Together because this is a year round program and will begin at 2:00 pm. and end by 6:00 p.m.

RIF BOOK GIVE AWAY
Star Books
Thanks to Mrs. Duarte, Librarian and the Reading is Fundamental program we will be distributing books to all students on Thursday, November 9th. The theme for our book give away is "STAR BOOKS". If your child takes home a RIF book they are able to keep it and enjoy!
VETERANS DAY HOLIDAY
Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. This year, our district will observe the holiday on November 10th.
DENTAL AND VISION CLINICS
We wanted to say THANK YOU to all the parents who participated in the Dental Mobile Clinic. We had a overabundance of students who participated and have all received free dental care. They will return in the month of May for another round of dental care.
We also had the Vision To Learn program who also took the time to see all of our La Primaria students and will be supplying a FREE pair of glasses for those who needed vision care.

Please plan to attend the very informative meeting on Thursday, November 16th at 8:15 in the school cafeteria. There are many events happening and other informational meeting that we need to relay to our parents. We will have refreshments and babysitting available.
CPAC MEETING
November 17, 2023
Mark your Calendars! The district will be holding their monthly CPAC meeting on Friday, November 17th at the Family Center at 2740 N. Mountain View Rd, El Monte. There will be transportation provided for parents on this day who would like to attend.
THANKSGIVING HOLIDAYS
November 20th - November 24th
Thanksgiving is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. It is sometimes called American Thanksgiving (outside the United States) to distinguish it from the Canadian holiday of the same name and related celebrations in other regions.
La Primaria school will be celebrating this holiday and there will be NO SCHOOL for students from November 20th - 24th. However, Think Together program will be open on November 20th and 21st for your convience. More information will be sent at a later date.
