In this week’s art lesson, we are going to have fun making an artwork inspired by the book The Dot by Peter Reynolds, while learning how to create a type of printmaking called a monoprint.
Here’s a list of materials you will need for this project:
A piece of paper. This can be any empty paper you have around the house. You could even use the back of an old worksheet!
Washable markers. No markers… No problem! You could use water-based paints like watercolors or acrylics, or even food coloring that you added water to.
A plastic baggie.
A damp paper towel.
