BES Family Newsletter - Sept. 30, 2022
Dear BES Families,
Conferences are coming up quickly. By this time, you should have received an invitation to sign up for a confernece with your child's teacher. We are using PTCfast to schedule conferences as we did last year. Each teacher has their own unique code to register for a conference with them. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you did not get an invitation to register or if you need assistance with the process. As last year, you will need to indicate your choice of an in-person or virtual conference when registering.
This newsletter is full of need-to-knows including Picture Day information, an upcoming Special Day at BES, a recent construction photo and more. Please take a few minutes and give it a look!
Thanks,
Dr. Mazaleski

REQUIRED TRAINING For Volunteers and Chaperones
Volunteer and Chaperone Training (REQUIRED Yearly)
Before anyone is permitted to volunteer in the school, serve as a chaperone or attend an event during school hours, they must complete the Volunteer Training and Registration. This is a county requirement and must be done by individuals each year.
Once the training and registration form is completed, the process for approval takes several days and is done at the county level.
Please consider doing the training now to avoid last minute issues. It will cover you for the rest of this school year.
Please share this information with any/all adults that may be involved at the school. We cannot make exceptions to this and we will turn individuals away who have not completed this and received approval from FCPS. This is mandatory for student and staff safety.
IMPORTANT MEAL INFORMATION
Meals are no longer free for all students.
Families must apply and be approved for Free & Reduced Meals. Stated meal prices will apply otherwise.
