WriteScore for 2nd Graders
Digital learning students in grade 2 will be participating in an online writing task through the Write Score platform. The testing window for digital learning students to complete this experience will be from Monday, March 29th through Tuesday, March 30th. Please note the amount of tasks in Accelerate Education will be lightened during this particular week to accommodate the Write Score writing assignment.
Below is the link to an informational slideshow which includes a Write Score introductory video and login instructions. Your student's home school Assistant Principal will send the required login information to you on the day of the Write Score task. Please contact your school's AP if you have any questions.
GA Milestones Information
Parents of digital learning students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades received an email letter on Friday, March 19th explaining the upcoming GA Milestones assessments and instructions to complete a survey regarding their interest in having their child participate in these assessments in the school setting. As it is very important that we be able to plan for distance learning students who will be coming to school to participate in the Milestones assessments, please respond to the survey as soon as possible if your child is in grades 3, 4, or 5. The survey deadline is Thursday, April 1st. For more information, please contact your child's home school.

Student "Shout Outs"
Mrs. Page and Ms. Bui's Classes
"Both Digital Kindergarten classes recently participated in a virtual field trip with Will Dodd from GYSTC. Students learned about living and nonliving things as an introduction to our Plants and Animals science unit. Students participated in many different instructional activities, shared their thoughts and ideas, asked questions, and explained new learning and insights. Our Kindergarten students were so engaged during the field trip!"
Lauren U., Renee U., and Russell U. from Ms. Nix's Class
"I am SO proud of Lauren, Renee, and Russell. They have shown perseverance in mastering their math facts in Reflex, even when it wasn't easy. However, they have all three made it to 100%. Great job, you guys!"
Isaac M. from Mrs. Tiller's Class
"Isaac continues to blow me away with how much work and effort he puts into his writing pieces. This is his final writing piece from the end of our Informational Writing unit. His handwriting is excellent, and the time and thoughtfulness he puts into each of his pieces is always evident!"
