Cyber Bullying And Its Affects
Cyber bullying is a form of bullying that has formed when bullies take the fight online, posting embarrassing pictures, mean comments, and more. These posts can ruin reputations and lives, leading to low self-esteem and depression among teens.
Did you know that:
*Nearly 43% of teens have been bullied online; 1 in 4 more than once.
*Only 1 in 10 victims will inform a parent or trusted adult of their abuse.
Cyber bulling can be very damaging to adolescents and teens. It can lead to anxiety, depression, and even suicide. Once a picture is online, it can never be forgotten, so many people's reputation is damaged or destroyed
You can make a difference! If you are being bullied, try ignoring the first comment. If the person repeatedly posts, save them. They are evidence! You can use them as proof that someone is harassing you. They can also be used to file a report to the website the bully is using. Once the messages are saved, make a complaint to the host and do something about it!
