KNIGHTS Kingdom News

October 2021

Greetings from Ms. Latchison...

We have gotten off to a remarkable start this school year. As of September 30th, our students have earned credit for 385 courses!!!!!! This is phenomenal work done by our hardworking students and dedicated teachers. In my six years as principal, I have never seen these numbers. I appreciate all of the positive energy that I witness daily on campus, which is a testament to the overall achievement of our students' credit attainment. For an even greater achievement, as of September 27th, a total of 9 graduates have been confirmed and more are in the verification process!!!! At the end beginning of November, we will announce another group of graduates. Way to go students and we wish you all the best that life has to offer as you begin the next phase in your life. I am so excited to be your principal and if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 254-754-9422 ext.6404 or via email at

Happy to Serve,

Ms. Latchison

Counselor's Corner....

Hello Students and Parents,

I am Starlet Bohannon, the school counselor here at Brazos HS. I am committed to encouraging, supporting and empowering all students to be their best selves. My primary task is to help ALL students’ be better learners by providing a comprehensive and developmental counseling program that meets their academic, personal/social, and career development needs.

You may only think that Ms. Bohannon builds schedules for students, coordinate testing, or that she changes your classes for you.

But reality is that Miss Bohannon does so much more. She helps you set academic goals and develop an education plan, which means more than building schedules. It means carving out an individualized educational, social, and career plan designed to benefit EACH of you on your journey. We can come up, plan, and work on a plan custom built for you.

Just REMEMBER……..My door is ALWAYS open and I am working for you. I will encourage you to set goals, create a graduation plan and help you stay on track by supporting you along the way. Situations at home or problems at school, I am here to help. I look forward to getting to know all of you and working with you this 2021-2022 academic school year.
