It was so amazing to be able to talk about the growth of your students and that just about every one of your students showed that growth. Our DRA growth is crazy good! Our DCAs are getting better and better! She and I looked at your class data sheets & we were equally impressed with all the data points you have at your finger tips for every single one of your students. Your hard work, your determination and your laser-like focus on kids is astonishing.
Lindsey shared additional compliments about what she has observed on campus and after hearing my observations, we both wholeheartedly agreed that the instruction happening in our classrooms, YOUR classroom, is phenomenal! It's your tier 1 instruction that is amazing!
Many of you are also noticing that many of your students are still in need of interventions so that they can be on grade level by the end of the year. For some kids, you are probably feeling that this may be more difficult than ever but that isn't stopping you from trying your very best. This is where FLEKS/RtI time comes in. This intervention time is like teaching twenty something individual kids and that is such hard work! I commend you for everything you are trying to do help these kids "catch up". Keep working together with your team to gather more ideas. You and your team can work with each other's students during FLEKS/RtI time! I have updated our planning document to include time to discuss interventions.
When we meet on Tuesday, the items that can be discussed are listed below for week 4. They are not meant to be discussed in any order and it doesn't mean they are the only items to discuss. For this meeting, let's plan to meet in room 301 so that you have access to the FCRR intervention kits. Bring your computer, your AimsWeb reports recently sent to you, any other assessment data you and your team have collected and most importantly, your ideas. Our norms are the same - Prepared Respectful Intentional Dedicated Encouraging.

Project Share a Book
Last year just before summer , Project Share a Book received book donations from Sunset Valley students and the West Fort Ranch community. The books finally arrived in Chipata, Zambia and on Saturday, January 26, 2019 they were handed over to a rural school called Chinjara Basic school. Pictures share are below! Thank you once again for the students and your support. Through our school, some kids thousands of miles away now have a book to read.
