AMSHS Weekly Updates

Building independent lifelong learners.

Principal's Corner

Hello Warrior Family!

We have had an amazing start to the school year! It is great having students in the building learning and accomplishing their goals. This year, we desire to improve communication with the community as we partner together to set our students up for success.

On Fridays I will send out this weekly update to keep you informed about what is happening at AMSHS and showcase the incredible things happening in our building. You can find the AMSHS weekly update on our various social media platforms, email, and a link through Textcaster.

We hope this will be a valuable resource to keep you connected to our building and if you ever have any questions never hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher, Ms. Pike, or contact the office.

Have a great weekend,

Barbara Terry

Counselor's Corner

Hey Warriors!

We are off to a great start. I am learning a lot about your students and their goals for the future. I want to invite all the senior parents out for a parent information night on Sept 7th. Looking forward to meeting all of you! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything!

Grade Checks and Missing Assignments

Every few weeks AMSHS will have a scheduled grade check to determine eligibility and help motivate students to prioritize academic success. Grade checks will be the following dates 1st semester.

September 9th and 23rd

October 14th

November 4th and 25th

December 9th and 21st

Late work and missing assignments can be a hinderance to academic progress and future learning. To help students stay on track, we will be enforcing AMSHS late work policy. Students have 2 days to turn in a late assignment for reduced credit. If an assignment is late 3 or more days, parents will be notified that the student will serve lunch detention. For more information about the Late Work policy, see our parent/student handbook.
