Our Essential Question
We have looked at these essential questions:
- How can we identify poems from other types of text?
- How do I read a poem?
- What is the purpose of poetry?
- How do poets choose topics for their poems and the meaning they want to convey?
- How does the writer create images for the reader?
Tip: The answers to these questions are in the notes in Google Classroom. Be ready for an essential question check soon!
Reading Strategy
First read for enjoyment.
Then read for analysis.
We have also been looking at the author, when they lived, what influenced them, and how those influences appear in their work. Check out our work on Poet Laureates!
