The LAVA Leadership Weekly Newsletter, 7 December 2020
This Week's Theme: REFLECTION
Reflection is when you stand back and consider what you have done in order to analyze it or learn from it. Scientifically, it gives your brain a chance to pause, look over what happened, and then create meaning. If you practice reflecting, you can develop deeper meaning from information and situations, which is always a good idea for a leader!
Many people confuse a reflection with a summary. Summarizing and reflecting are two very different actions! Summarizing is when you recount facts (what happened, key concepts, etc.). Reflecting is when you make meaning to determine how information is useful or important to you; it is your own view - it is your opinion!
This week's video was made by our own Mrs. Fryberger! She walks us through how to reflect to help ourselves grow.
