Mrs. Clyde - Issue No.15

Class News

This Friday report cards will be coming home. I will include some information to help you understand how the report card works. Please look this over with your child and celebrate their successes. All of the kids are working very hard everyday and have made lots of growth since September. We have much to celebrate.

Everything that comes home in the envelope is yours to keep. Please just sign the envelope and have your child return the envelope. I will reuse them for the 2nd report card in June.

We have parent-teacher conferences in March. This will be a good time to go over your child's progress in first or second grade. We will then look ahead to the spring. If you have questions about the report card we can discuss that at our conference time.

Valentines Party Friday!

Thank you for offering to bring in treats for our party on Friday. Please send them in the morning. We will have them in the afternoon.

We have a new student joining our class starting tomorrow so please add one more to the list. We now have 26 kids!

Click Here to sign up to bring treats - please put your child's name under the item you will bring.

Class List for Valentines - one more student

Please add our new student, Miguel, to your list!

Kids will be able to pass out Valentines to their friends on Feb. 12th. Please make sure kids bring one for each child in our classroom. The link below has the names of all the kids in our classroom. I will send home a paper copy of the list this week.

Read-A-Thon Coming

The PTA is holding a Ridgecrest Read-a-thon! We are very excited about getting to celebrate reading as a whole school. Please watch your child's binder for information that will be coming home this week. Kids are being asked to get friends and family to sponsor them for reading in a two-week time period. It's a fun way to encourage kids to read, celebrate great reading, and raise some money for our school. PTA provides so many great things at Ridgecrest that really make a difference for all of the kids. I hope your child will be able to participate. We will be doing some fun things for Read Across America during the week of Feb. 29th so watch for info. about that as well.
