Uniform Resale Tomorrow 9/12/2020
- All clothing is placed out in sections by girl/boy and a size range, ie. Girl: Sizes 2T-8 and Boy: Sizes 14-Adult Sizes. We can allow one person at a time into a particular section, so please be patient as we work to get you in as quickly and safely as possible.
- We are NOT able to have dressing rooms available, so if you would like your child to try on clothes please have them wear something that they can easily pull clothes over.
- Since we are limited to the number of people in the room at a time, please try to limit the number of people with you at the Resale.
- Please bring a Check or Cash, as we are not able to take Credit Cards at this time.

HARVEST FESTIVAL
Unfortunately, PTF will not be hosting our annual Harvest Festival at Grace this year. PTF is currently evaluating the possibility of holding a Spring Carnival or a virtual event in 2021.
ROOM PARENTS
The role of room parents will also look much different this year. At this time the primary function of room parents would be to coordinate the class families for the teacher’s and class aide’s birthday, Christmas gifts, and teacher appreciation week.
PTF CONTACT
Please email Kristi Snell at ptf@gracelcms.net, if you are interested in being the room parent for your child’s classroom. If you have any questions or are interested in joining PTF, please contact ptf@gracelcms.net.
Thank you in advance for your patience as we work through these interesting times.
Sincerely,
Grace PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship)
GRACE'S NEW SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING FOCUS!
Grace is not only committed to strong academics but your student's social-emotional health as well. COVID-19 has had an impact on all of us, however, this impact has been felt more acutely by our students, whose development is affected by a lack of social connection and increased anxiety.
To address these needs, we are introducing a new Social-Emotional Learning curriculum from Second Step. Beginning the week of September 21st, students at each grade level will cover lessons on:
- Empathy and Skills for Learning;
- Emotional Management;
- Problem Solving; and,
- Bullying Prevention.
(You can find out more about the program by clicking HERE.)
In addition, and as part of our School Reopening Plan, students will be completing weekly forms to help us individually track their social-emotional health.
For more information on why social-emotional learning is so important for our students, check out this article from Tim ElmoreIf you have any questions about this program or its implementation, please contact Kara Warner, School Counselor at kwarner@gracelcms.net
Extended Care Information
Extended Care pick-up is at the gym doors. If no one is at the door when you arrive for pick-up, please call the phone number posted on the door. This will connect you with Extended Care staff on the playground who will make sure that your child is sent to meet you at the doors.
Also if you can have your child bring something in their backpack that they can play with independently, they will really appreciate it during extended care.
Thank you so much!
Hot Lunch Coming Soon!
Our hot lunch provider, Choice Lunch is gearing up to start serving very soon. They will be ready to start serving the week of September 21st. That means students will need to bring sack lunches for one more week. Please remember to send food for your child as we do not have access to any emergency lunches. Next week we will send you the link to Choice Lunch so you may begin ordering.
